If you’re buying a physical release consider buying direct from the label or artist, if that’s not possible buy from your local record store, independent record stores are integral to the scene and need your support as much as we do, if neither of these options are available make use of one of the many great independent online record outlets, but avoid buying from large online retailers unless you have no other choice, many of these organisations have achieved colossal market dominance through unfair business practice and appalling labour abuses. The best way to buy downloads is from as close to the source as possible (please do not download independent music illegally). As the music industry evolves we need to evolve with it and do what we can to curb the stranglehold of the industry giants. We must unite and fight to keep independent music alive.
