The son of a respected reggae trombonist, Yaksha realised a love for roots music from the very beginning. Inspired by mixtapes given to him by Alpha & Omega over the years, he began experimenting with his own productions from a young age.
Now releasing under his own label, the underlying aim for Yaksha remains to reflect and build upon the foundations of culture; and, as the name literally means, to respect the natural treasures within the tree’s roots.
