The instant classic “Rocking Ship” returns!

Hailing from North-west UK, singer and producer Joe Yorke stands as one of the most exciting reggae artists of his generation. His exceptional falsetto voice and deeply poetic songwriting have earned support from legends including David Rodigan, Don Letts, Dennis Bovell, Nick Manasseh and Stand High Patrol, alongside a rapidly growing global fanbase.

Originally released via Steppas Records in collaboration with UK dub producer Yaksha, a rising force in the new wave of UK dub, known for his deep, meditative productions and heavyweight sound system focus, “Rocking Ship” quickly became a standout and sold out shortly after release. Since then, it has grown into an instant classic and modern roots anthem, regularly played in dances worldwide by sound systems big and small.

Now returning by popular demand, this long-awaited repress brings the track back into circulation. A poignant and compassionate reflection on the plight of refugees, backed with a heavyweight, stripped-back dub mix by Alpha Steppa.

A crucial 7” for collectors, selectors and sound systems alike.

The artists have donated all profits from “Rocking Ship” to charities supporting refugees and those affected by the devastating impacts of war.
